Although it’s true that there really are good Samaritans out there, don’t discount the fact that there may be onlooking bystanders who might want to take advantage of your misfortune. As much as possible keep vehicle doors and windows closed and refuse help from strangers, especially when the towing service is already on its way to your location.
Ask for Identification Card From the Towing Company
As a towing company arrives to help, make sure to ask for the staff’s company ID and other related documents. Keep in mind that some towing companies are out to fool people into hiring them instead of the one they called up earlier. To not fall into the hands of these unscrupulous businesses, it may be best to double-check the identity of the company that is about to tow your vehicle.
